Jasmine Guesthouse: Budget family accommodation in Siem Reap

We stayed at the Jasmine Lodge (Guesthouse) while we were in Siem Reap.

Now that we know Siem Reap better we’d choose somewhere in Wat Bo around the river. It’s a nicer area, and more convenient to the centre. However Jasmine Lodge is a really good budget option for families. It’s still walkable to the centre (15-20 mins) which is fine for older kids like ours, but with younger ones you’d need to take a tuk tuk.

The boys loved this pool and spent hours in it each afternoon and evening.

We had two triple rooms (three single beds in each) with a good bathroom and aircon. Both rooms were spotless, and the beds really comfy.

The guesthouse provides a good breakfast, and has a great pool, which is perfect for cooling off throughout the day. There’s also a restaurant, and a lounge area where you can hang out in comfy chairs with a beer.

A great area to relax while the boys were in the pool.

We paid less than $30 a room per night. The owner is a lovely man but the staff are a bit jaded… Understandable when you see signs like this at the entrance.

“Please do not use screams or dirty things and vomit to ruin our bedsheets.”

We refrained from doing any of these things…

I’ll return to Siem Reap and stay in a different area, but I have no problem recommending Jasmine Guesthouse to other families. It’s definitely a great budget option.
