I’m currently on an Itchee Feet road trip, from Sydney to the Sunshine coast. I love being on the road with the boys. Yesterday we passed The Big Trifecta, as the kids call it: The BIG Oyster in Taree, the BIG Banana in Coffs Harbour, and the BIG Prawn in Ballina… which sadly is all fenced off and ready for demolition.
I’m not sure what the obsession is with big fibreglass foodstuff in this country, or if I fully approve of it (yes, a little cringe as I pass them), but the kids have a good laugh and they are certainly excellent markers for where we are on a trip and how far we have to go.
My boys entertained themselves with iPods, pipe cleaners, drawing and of course activities from Around the World in 80 Ways.
School holidays are heating up. Take it easy behind the wheel. And enjoy the journey.
