Ho Chi Minh City 1.1.2011

Happy New Year!! And what a way to bring it in, at Dam Sen Park, a massive amusement park and water park in Ho Chi Minh City. This place is an absolute must if you are in this city with children! I was totally taken by surprise, I really didn’t expect that it would be this good.
Being New Years Day, the place was completely mobbed and the crowds were freaking me out a bit. We were photographed about 1000 times and the girls were getting fed up with posing and having their cheeks pinched! However, the park itself was so great that we stayed there all day. The rides are good and are priced at about 25,000 dong per ride (about AUD$1.25). I don’t remember any time as a child being able to go on as many rides as I want, all day long! There were no queues, we just jumped on the thing and off it went. Abie had so much fun, and we had fun watching them.
Ho Chi Minh City is a very child friendly city. It’s nice that the girls get to do something for themselves rather than being dragged around by us the whole holiday. We enjoyed the main park so much that we didn’t even make it into the water park… but we’ll get there at some point. I hear its fantastic too.
